Dr. Christina Larsen
Dr. Christina Larsen holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master’s of Science in Veterinary Science from Tuskegee University in Alabama, and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Animal Science from McNeese State University in Louisiana. She was very involved in the gastroenterology laboratory while pursuing her master’s degree and authored several scientific publications. Her passion for feline medicine is what prompted her to become a veterinarian. While attending veterinary school, she served as President of the TUCVM Student Chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners. She also received the AAFP Outstanding Senior Award for her graduating class.
Post-graduation, Dr. Larsen moved to Michigan where she has worked at cat-only practices for the past 8.5 years. She really enjoys feline-focused continuing education and is always looking to learn more. She just completed the Center of Veterinary Education feline medicine two-year course as she works towards her goal of ABVP board certification in feline medicine.
Dr. Larsen lives with her husband, son, two cats, one dog and a Congo African Gray Parrot. She has many strong interests within feline medicine; however, she has particular interests in gastrointestinal diseases, treating the geriatric patient and feline behavior and welfare. She is a member of Michigan Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), American Society of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) and International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM).
