Dr. Seana Schade, DVM, MS
Dr. Schade graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine with a dual DVM and master’s degree in 2018. She completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in 2019, and a small animal surgical internship at Animal Surgical Center of Michigan in 2020. Dr. Schade has attended advanced surgical courses on fracture management, wound care, and reconstructive surgery. Since then, Dr. Schade has enjoyed performing advanced soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries in southeast Michigan. Her primary interests are soft tissue surgery and orthopedics.
Dr. Schade is a published author in the journal of Veterinary Comparative Orthopaedics and Traumatology (VCOT), and holds a master’s degree in Comparative Medicine and Integrative Biology (CMIB) from MSU’s College of Veterinary medicine. She has 4 years of experience in veterinary research laboratories at MSU, and has presented her research at symposiums across the country.
In her spare time, Dr. Schade likes to Irish dance (think “Riverdance”), go for long walks down the street with her fiance, and snuggle on the couch with her rescue dog, two cats, and ball python!
