Dr. Melissa Dodge, DVM
Dr. Melissa Dodge began her journey in veterinary medicine by earning a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Michigan State University in 2007. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 and has since dedicated herself to providing high-quality primary care in southeast Michigan. Her professional passions include preventive health care, internal medicine, and advocating for the One Health approach, which emphasizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health.
In 2022, Dr. Dodge embarked on a personal journey of gender transition, embracing her authentic self with courage and grace.
Outside of her veterinary work, Dr. Dodge enjoys writing and actively seeks opportunities to give back to her community. She has a love for exploration and is an enthusiastic local history buff, often diving into the rich stories of her surroundings.
At home, she cherishes her time caring for her father and doting on her beloved orange tabby, Sammy, who is thoroughly spoiled and endlessly adored!
